Voluntary Health Agencies and Patient Advocacy Groups
Patient advocacy groups stand as champions, helping lead the charge in accelerating research and development. At the forefront of this collaborative effort is the Research!America alliance, a driving force in advocating, with one voice representing the full R&D ecosystem.
As a part of the Research!America alliance, patient advocacy members will enjoy:
- Being part of a united voice advocating for increased federal funding for our nation’s health, medical, and scientific R&D-focused agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and for patient-centric policies.
- Support for your policy and advocacy objectives and amplification of your advocacy efforts by ensuring that we speak with a collective voice about the importance of the patient perspective remaining a central focus in policy discussions, funding decisions, and at every stage of the research and development process.
- Participation in programs like the National Health Research Forum, Capitol Hill briefings and members-only discussions, that address critical issues that impact the well-being of our nation, the R&D workforce pipeline, our economy, and, most importantly, patients.
- Access to a comprehensive suite of advocacy tools, briefing papers, public opinion survey data, and more. These resources enhance your ability to advance your advocacy efforts independently or in collaboration with fellow alliance members, maximizing impact and driving meaningful change.
