Research!America is deeply grateful for the leadership and commitment from both parties that is reflected in this budget agreement for fiscal years 2020 and 2021. Research!America applauds this bipartisan, bicameral budget deal.
By avoiding sequester and providing increased funding for Defense and non-Defense spending, this agreement empowers our nation to boost funding for the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Food and Drug Administration, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the National Science Foundation, and other federal agencies that leverage research and science to save lives. This truly benefits all the American people.
