Research!America Applauds Agreement on Short-term Continuing Resolution
Research!America applauds congressional leaders for reaching bipartisan agreement on a short-term continuing resolution (CR). H. Res. 9747 serves the national interest and public good by avoiding the taxpayer-felt hardships of a government shutdown and the stultifying uncertainty of a long-term CR. This legislation, moving to the Rules Committee, would also prevent important research and public health initiatives such as the rare pediatric disease priority review voucher program from lapsing as members of Congress work on a bipartisan basis to reauthorize these programs. We urge Congress to pass H.Res. 9747 as soon as possible before the Sep. 30 end of Fiscal Year 2024.
