House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin have continued to negotiate with the goal of arriving at an emergency spending package that can pass both chambers of Congress and be signed into law without further delay. The President tweeted his support for another emergency funding bill.

This emergency spending legislation will not include supplemental research funding to help fill the gaps created by COVID-19 unless we fight for it. Research delays are an emergency. Patients and our society as a whole cannot afford science setbacks.
