Fight for Scientific Progress

The Senate Appropriations Committee will reportedly begin considering (“marking up”) their Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 spending bills beginning the week of July 7, 2024. Take a moment to contact your Senators and urge them to weigh in with Congressional and Appropriations Committee Leadership on the importance of robust funding for the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and our nation’s other research and public health agencies. Congressional leaders face funding tradeoffs that place the strength of our nation’s science & technology ecosystem at risk, and with it, the health, security, and prosperity of the American people and populations across the globe. Weighing in now can make a concrete difference in Congressional decision-making that affects the future of scientific, medical, and public health progress.
