Research!America Statement on FY24 Appropriations
Research!America today sent a letter to Congressional appropriations leaders on both sides of the aisle to advocate for essential funding for the National Institutes of Health and our nation’s other science & technology research agencies in the FY24 budget. Congress has passed a Continuing Resolution to fund the government until early March to give it time to reach agreement for funding through the end of FY24 in September. The letter makes the case for funding needed to maintain our nation’s scientific and technological competitiveness as China and other countries increase their investments in this arena. Federal funding is essential to protecting our nation’s health and our global status as an innovator.
