Research!America commands considerable respect across the administration and Congress, and membership allows for increasingly significant opportunities to monitor and influence the legislative and regulatory climates to stimulate the research enterprise. For example, our Your Candidates–Your Health and Your Congress–Your Health voter education initiatives, featured (or to be featured) in PARADE magazine and on PARADE.com, help to educate the voting public and the media, and emphasize to members of Congress and the candidates themselves how much voters care about research.
We provide our members with unique advocacy tools and other resources on timely research topics. Our members are also welcome to download and use our presentations, speeches by our leadership, and other materials for your own advocacy efforts to advance medical, health and scientific research.

Our award-winning membership newsletter is packed with timely national research policy and funding news, our public opinion polling data, reports and updates on our advocacy initiatives. We feature a member organization each month in Members Take Action.
Investment in Research Saves Lives and Money
We provide our series of fact sheets on the economic impact of research to Congress and the administration; state government leaders; the media; and to all our members.
Since 1992, Research!America has commissioned and released the results of more than 100 national and state polls. An annual summary of our national data is published as America Speaks. Our state public opinion poll data is available exclusively to our members.
U.S. Investment In Research Reports
Research!America has been tracking and analyzing the total U.S. public and private investment in research for about a decade.
Limited quantities of our printed materials and publications are free to our members. There is a nominal fee for bulk orders and for non-members. For samples of our publications, contact Kyndra Fuller.
Membership Events and Forums
Research!America's national and regional events and forums provide networking opportunities and access to top leaders in research, including our board leadership.
Each March, our annual meeting of members takes place in Washington, DC. We unveil our annual report, latest public opinion poll data, and other crucial information and resources that help our members. We present our annual National Forum that same day, as well as our Advocacy Awards gala that evening. Save the date of March 24, 2009!
